Keyboard shortcuts for navigation

Use the keyboard commands listed below to navigate the application.

Note: Some commands may not be supported by all browsers.  

  • To move forward from link to link or to controls, press Tab.

  • To move backward from link to link or to controls, press Shift+Tab.

  • To select hyperlinks, press Enter.

  • To select buttons, press Enter.

  • To navigate and select radio buttons, press the arrow key.

  • To select and deselect check boxes, press the space bar.

  • To navigate and select dates from the Calendar picker, use these options:

    • CTRL+LEFT (Arrow) moves the focus to the day left.

    • CTRL+RIGHT (Arrow) moves the focus to the day right.

    • CTRL+UP (Arrow) moves the focus to the row above.

    • CTRL+DOWN (Arrow) moves the focus to the row below.

    • PGUP and PGDN changes the month.

  • To navigate and select options from lists or combo boxes, use these options:

    • Press the space bar to view all options.

    • Press the Up and Down arrow keys to move through options.

    • Press Enter to select an option.

  • To navigate and select options from a list box, press the Up and Down arrow keys.

  • To navigate and select an option from the Role drop-down menu, use these options:

    • Press Enter to view all options.

    • Press Tab to move through the options.

    • Press Enter to select an option.

  • To navigate and select options for the transaction code selector on timesheets, use these options:

    • Press the Up and Down arrow keys to move through options.

    • Press Enter to select an option.

    • Press the Backspace key once to clear current options and then type in search criteria.

  • To move a tile to a different position using the single click feature:

    • Press Tab to move focus to the drag tile icon, then press Enter or the space bar to activate the single click feature. To move the tile to the left and up, press the Left arrow key. To move the tile to the right and down, press the Right arrow key. To exit the feature, press the ESC key.

  • The ESC key closes pop-ups such as calendars, dialogs and drop-down menus. Some dialogs contain tooltips. If a user is focused on a tooltip, they may need to press the ESC key twice to dismiss the dialog. The first ESC action closes the tooltip and the second ESC action closes the dialog.
