Changing or resetting your password
Depending on security protocols, users may or may not be required to use passwords to log in to the application, and regularly change or reset passwords. If security protocols such as SSO or SAML are implemented, an application password may not be set up for users.
If an agency configures the system with the application password function, the system may send password expiration alerts, users may be required to observe agency password security guidelines, and various password validation rules may be in place.
The following methods are available for changing or resetting application passwords. Procedures for each method are listed below.

Change your password in your Employee Profile.

Reset your password.

Respond to the Locked Out alert. This alert displays if a user exceeds the maximum number of failed login attempts.

Use the Forgot Password? or Forgot User ID? feature on the application Log In page.
Change your password in your Employee Profile
To change your password in your Employee Profile, take these steps:

Click the Settings icon. The Settings page of the employee profile opens.

Type your current password in the Current Password text box.

Type the new password in the Password box.
-
Re-type the new password in the Retype Password box.

Click Save. The system changes your password. The next time you log in to the system, you must use the new password.
Reset your password
An authorized role or a system security procedure may require you to reset your password. Before you can reset the password, you must obtain the temporary password that the authorized role has created for you. To reset your password, take these steps:

Log in to the application using the temporary password you received from your Administrator. The Change Password page opens.

Type the temporary password in the CurrentPassword box.

Type your new password in the New Password box.
-
Re-type your new password in the Retype New Password box.

Click Update Password. The system changes your password. The next time you log in to the system, you must use the new password.
Respond to the "Locked Out" alert
The Locked Out alert displays if you exceed the maximum number of failed log in attempts. Once the Administrator resets your password, you must obtain the temporary password and then follow these steps:

Log in to the application using the temporary password you received from your Administrator. The Change Password page opens.

Type the temporary password in the CurrentPassword box.

Type your new password in the New Password box.

Re-type your new password in the Retype New Password box.

Click Update Password. The system changes your password. The next time you log in to the system, you must use the new password.
Use the Forgot Password or Forgot User ID feature
Depending on the agency, you may be able to use the Forgot Password or User ID feature on the application Log In page. You must have a valid e-mail address recorded in your employee profile in order to use this feature.
To reset your password, take these steps:

Click the Forgot Password link on the application Log In page. The following text displays: "To reset your password, enter your User ID. You will receive an email with instructions on how to reset your password. "

Type your User ID in the text box.

Click Submit. The system sends the information you requested to the e-mail account that is identified in your employee profile.

You must reset your password within the amount of time specified in the e-mail. By default, the limit is 60 minutes. If you are unable to reset the password in the allotted amount of time, click the Forgot Password link on the application Log In page to start the process over.

To retrieve your User ID, take these steps:

Click the Forgot User ID link on the application Log In page. The following text displays: "To retrieve your User ID, enter the email address the application has on file for your account. Your User ID will be emailed to you. "

Type the Email Address in the text box.

Click Submit. The system sends the information you requested to the e-mail account that is identified in your employee profile.
